Deadline day is always likely to throw up some left field links and it seems that this one will be nothing different as the Swans are linked with midfielder Oliver Ntcham who was released from Parkhead during the summer.

There were rumours back in 2019 that Ntcham was being linked with a £17m departure from Celtic but nothing materialised or was confirmed to be the amount and now reports in France suggest that we have opened talks to bring him to South Wales before the window closes.

In the past 12 months, his Celtic career went downhill under former manager Neil Lennon, which led to him spending the second half of last season with Marseille, where he failed to make an impact.

It came as a surprise to some to see the 25-year old let go on a free by the club, with the hope that his career could possibly be rejuvenated under new boss Ange Postecoglou.

This is definitely one out of the blue for the Swans to be linked but it does seem as if there could be some mileage in this one and we await further news during the day.
