From Cardiff to Qatar โ€“ Could it be Wales and Scotland โ€“ where is Joe Jordan?

The World Cup draw has given Wales a real chance of World Cup qualification with a semi final against Austria and โ€“ if successful โ€“ a home tie in the final against either Scotland or Ukraine who will meet at Hampden Park.

The draw this afternoon threw out some interesting possibilities -one of them being the potential of Wales v Scotland and the other being a single game shoot out between Portugal and Italy, at least one of whom will miss out on the World Cup final stages.

The semi finals draw

Wales v Austria
Scotland v Ukraine
Wales/Austria v Scotland/Ukraine

Italy v N Macedonia
Portugal v Turkey
Portugal/Turkey v Italy/N Macedonia

Russia v Poland
Sweden v Czech Republic
Russia/Poland v Sweden/Czech Republic

Ties will be played between 24 and 29 March 2022

Robert Page: โ€œWeโ€™ve given ourselves a great opportunity.

โ€œWeโ€™ve worked ever so hard to finish second and get that home draw.

โ€œWeโ€™ve got everything to play for.โ€
