Berkshire Live is reporting an “incident” in the tunnel after the final whistle of yesterday’s clash with Reading at the Swansea.com stadium, a game which the visitors won 3-2.

The publication references “Some unsavoury scenes between the players and staff of both clubs after the full-time whistle.”

It goes onto say that “The nature of what happened is not exactly clear, but certainly Swansea goalkeeper (and Reading academy graduate) Ben Hamer appeared to take offence to something which had been said.

Reading coaches Quinton Fortune and Marko Mitovic tried to act as peacmakers with the shotstopper as he went down the tunnel at the end.”

Interestingly in his post match press conference Russell Martin did make reference to this but said he was back in the changing room but also added “I just wish I had been there to protect my staff.”

It was also reported that there were some altercations between the coaching staff during the game but nothing major.
