Swans Team News
Russell Martin looks to have a full choice of players available for this game with a number of his first team squad playing a midweek friendly against Brentford B.ย Michael Obafemi and Liam Walsh both scored in that game but are likely to have to settle for a place on the bench at least.
Martin may elect to shuffle his defence again which could mean recalls for Ryan Bennett and Jake Bidwell.
Russell Martin on Steve Cooper’s return:ย ย “I’m sure for the players it adds a little edge.
“We have a lot of players here who played under Steve and a lot who were brought in by Steve.
“I am not going to come out here and say it is no different to any other game. It is different to them because they have a relationship with the man who managed them for the last couple of years.
“I know when I played against a previous manager, it always added a little something different. Every player wants to play well every game, but you have another reason and another motive.”
Forest Team News
Forest have two long term absentees in their squad in Rodrigo Ely and Loic Mbe Soh.
Max Lowe is said (by Cooper) to be ‘on the turn’ as he approaches the midway point in his recovery from a groin injury but Joe Lolley is now back and available for selection for this game.
Cooper on his return to South Wales:ย “Everybody’s moved on, I am not trying to underplay anything, I am giving you an honest view. I am just really focused on the game for what it’s worth, whoever we were playing on Saturday.
“I understand the questions. I am very grateful for my two years at Swansea and what it gave me and how I was treated.
“That will never change. But in terms of the game on Saturday, it’s a game we are very much in the normal preparation mode for.”
