Yet again the club call it right with pricing strategy

One of the biggest challenges that any football club at our level faces is the balance between making games affordable to watch but ensuring that they can financially compete on the pitch.

That challenge has increased in the last two years with so much football played behind closed doors and it is fantastic to see that the Swans have kept true to their word with the pricing that was announced yesterday which gives an adult the chance to secure a season ticket in the East stand for just ยฃ322 if renewed within the early bird window.

On the basis of Championship football that works out at ยฃ14 per game which, in a game where pricing at the highest level can be ยฃ50+per game represents great value for money and a figure at which the club should be commended.

โ€œWe are proud as a club to have one of the lowest pricing structures in the Championship,โ€ said Swansea City chief executive Julian Winter.

โ€œTickets start at just ยฃ49 for our youngest supporters in our family stand, with the maximum price being ยฃ322 for an adult ticket across the whole stadium, if renewed in the early bird window.

โ€œWe want to create the most atmospheric setting for our team and therefore we are setting a target to achieve 15,000 season ticket holders for the 2022-23 season.

โ€œWe want to be as open and transparent with our supporters as possible and therefore we are releasing our season ticket pricing for both the early bird window and general sale at the same time.

At general sale the cost goes up by just ยฃ23 (ยฃ1 per game) which in itself should attract a good level of sales with the club targeting 15,000 season ticket sales this time around.

The club have also moved this year to try and simplify pricing across the stadium as well and there is certainly the massive attraction of bringing younger fans to the stadium which is aligned completely to one of the goals outlined recently at the structured dialogue session held at the stadium.

With prices at ยฃ99 for just under 18s all around the ground there is destined to be a big take up which will be a boost for Russell Martin and his side next season whichever way you look at it.

It is very easy at times to criticise the club when they get it wrong but equally that means praise should be given when it is true.ย  ย They have created a season ticket pricing structure for next season which should attract a very high level of renewals together with a reasonable number of new uptakes.ย  ย  Given the current climate of rising prices everywhere they have managed to strike a balance which alot of clubs would not achieve.

Well done to all involved.
