Swans chase Wolves midfielder just recalled from Cardiff City

Swansea City are being credited withย  having an interest in Wolves midfielder Ryan Giles although they will have to battle with QPR and Hull City for the players services according to the same reports.

Inside Futbol says that the player – who was on the bench this weekend for Wolves in the FA Cup after spending the first half of the season on loan at Cardiff.ย  Had he come on for the Premier League side today the only options available would have been Wolves or Cardiff for the remainder of the season but as an unused substitute then the door is open for a loan move elsewhere.

The 21-year-old midfielder has had numerous loan spells away from Wolves.

Giles has spent time at Telford United, Shrewsbury Town, Coventry City and Rotherham United.

He shone at Cardiff during the first half of this season, making 21 appearances and providing nine assists for his Bluebird team-mates and this is one of the reasons why Russell Martin has targeted him given the lack of creativity that seems to exist in our midfield.

With a move for Matt O’Riley at MK Dons seemingly hitting the rails then it seems as if attention may turn elsewhere and Giles is a more than adequate replacement for a second half of the season loan.
