Swans eye Sunderland’s Scottish hitman?

Swansea are being linked with a move for 18 goal Sunderland striker Ross Stewart.

The frontman, who was recently called up to the Scottish national team, has been in top form for Lee Johnson’s team who are pushing for a return to the Championship at the fourth time of asking.

The Daily Record list the Swans as one of the club’s showing interest in Stewart but funds may again be a question mark with Sunderland unwilling to let their star man leave on the cheap.

A striker is thought to be on Russell Martin’s shortlist after seeing Liam Cullen and Morgan Whittaker leave on loan to Lincoln in recent times, leaving just Joel Piroe and Michael Obafemi as options up top.

  1. Hahahaha.
There’s no way Swansea can afford him. Selling him would scupper Sunderland’s chances of promotion, so what would that be worth?
I would imagine you’re looking north of £15m, and individually he’s not worth that, but he’s worth that to Sunderland.

    • Hahaha £15 million what planet are you on mate ?? The price will be between 1 and 1.5 million if your lucky in this climate for league one player and Swansea are one of only a few teams in the football league and that includes the premiership that are not in debt , so please explain why Swansea couldn’t afford him

  2. Never going to sell. Promotion to Championship is worth 20 million in revenue.. that’s why he is worth £15 mil plus right now.
And having watched him all season. He will move eventually and likely for a lot more.

  3. I don’t know who wrote this article but Ross hasn’t been called up for Scotland yet. There’s been rumours about it but that’s as far as it’s went – one day though in the not too distant future he’ll get his first cap
