Huddersfield Town winger Sorba Thomas has lavished praise on the Swans after the two teams played out a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

The Welsh international has seen his profile rise dramatically this season with some impressive displays after joining Town from non league last January.

Flynn Downes’ late leveller ensured a share of the spoils but a dominant second half could, and probably should, have seen Swansea home with three points after four straight losses.

The performance was not though lost on Thomas, who said Martin’s men were the best he has seen play this year.

Thomas told the BBC: “I said it to a few of the boys – that’s the best team I have seen play this year,”

“I believe that’s the best we have played against this year. You have got the Bournemouth’s and all that, but I feel they are the best team in this league, the way the play football. The composure of a lot of their boys is unbelievable – it’s frightening to see really.”
