Swans boss Russell Martin is hoping that the loan signing of Finley Burns from Man City will help to develop one of their talents for the future.
As a result of the signing, it has allowed Brandon Cooper to join Swindon Town also on loan to gain further experience. Fans have questioned whether there is merit in that movr, as the defender excelled in League Two last year and after some further first team exposure with us, has once again ended up where he started in League Two.
Focusing on Burns, I’m sure the wider hope is that his move to SA1 will be the first of many more to make the switch to West Wales. There has been a decent link in recent years between the club and Man City after signing Celina, Latibeaudiere and now Burns.
Maybe we might see a few more in the near future?
“Fin is an outstanding young player. It enables one of our players to go out and play,” Martin told Wales Online.
“Hopefully we will help develop Man City’s player.
“I think it’s a really good fit for all parties. We’re really excited to work with him, and we’re really excited for Brandon who has been desperate to go out and play.”
Like we developed Rhys Williams?
Thats a great point Jeff our defence is shocking and
he couldnt get a look in!
