It’s been one of those underwhelming deadline days that we tend to see in Swansea so far and it is heading for one of those typical finishes with reports coming in from Wales Online that Liam Walsh and Jamie Paterson are attracting late interest as the Swans try desperately to bring in a left wing back to the club.
The club’s lack of money is being laid bare with Stuart James referencing that a loan deal maybe needed to complete before we can finance a move for Nathaneal Ogbeta from Shrewsbury to try and plug the gap left when we let Jake Bidwell go to Coventry.
The same publication also reports that Yan Dhanda is likely to stay at Swansea despite being heavily tipped for an exit this month which means he will join Jay Fulton as another who never moved on as we expected.
If we can finalise the move for Ogbeta then it will be something but it is unlikely to paper over the cracks of one of our weakest windows for some time and lays bare some of the problems that we will face in the summer given the complete lack of full saleable assets within the squad itself.
We make problems for ourselves where problems dont exist.
We sell bidwell to create a problem that didnt exist and will go unresolved and we will be weaker.
All our efforts should have gone on getting an out and out striker as we have inexperienced strikers right now.
We should have bought Mat Riley from MK Dons to speculate to accumalate as he looked a steal at 1.5 million. Has the board got no vision ?
And finally, how can we not compete with the likes of Bournmouth who get only 12,000 fans and they can still keep and buy-in further quality players. ?
How the hell have we got money problems? 7 years in the Premier league and this is where we are. Unbelievable Taff.
Same old story!
