Sheffield United v Swansea City – Confirmed team news

The Swans head to Bramall Lane to take on Sheffield United today looking to build upon the comeback win against Bristol City last weekend.

Russell Martin isn’t expected to make wholesale changes from that match although Ryan Bennett is back in contention after serving his one match ban and will be included in the squad.

It’s a ground where the Swans have had reasonable results in the past, notably a 2-1 win in their last visit and that memorable FA Cup game…

Paul Heckingbottom: “Weโ€™ve got many games to go.

โ€œWe are on a good run, we know the forms been good, weโ€™ll trust that.

โ€œWeโ€™re at home, we want to control the game and be as aggressive as we were the other night, but this time get the goals and get the three points.โ€

Russell Martin: “What an exciting challenge for us. You have to embrace the opportunity.

“Weโ€™ve shown on our day we can be a really good team. A team I think who are in the best form in the league [Sheff Utd] itโ€™s a real chance for us to grow and see what weโ€™re capable of.

“Thereโ€™s no fear. A lot of people outside wonโ€™t expect to get too much, but we will. Thatโ€™s the mentality weโ€™ll have.”
