Spiky Martin shows first signs of pressure

Russell Martin was clearly a man feeling the pressure after the heavy 4-0 loss at Sheffield United on the weekend, with an uncharacteristic display of his frustration at the way things have been going as of late.

In his post match press conference, he responded to a pretty normal question in a different way to his usually calm persona which suggests that recent results and performances are taking its toll.

When a reporter asked him about the players having a clarity of what they needed to do on the pitch, with no ambiguity, the Swans boss cut him short and said: “No there is, yeah.

“You can speak to the players and ask them.

“I don’t come up here and lie to you.”
