Phil SumblerThe proverbial game of two halves was what we witnessed on Tuesday night as the Swans fell to a heavy 5-1 defeat to Fulham, with the visitors undertaking a five goal second half display to blow away the Swans after a promising first 45 minutes.
That all changed when Ryan Manning saw a red card shortly before half time and Andy Fisher conceded possession for the first goal within thirty seconds of the restart.ย ย From that point forward there was only one winner and Fulham rightfully took all three points back to Craven Cottage on their march to the Premier League.
Manning and Fisher’s part in that madness either side of the interval saw them both receive the lowest ratings from the fans with just 2.5 being the average score for both players but it was Kyle Naughton and Michael Obademi who came away with the majority of the credit – at least according to those who voted via this site.
Naughton’s rating of 6.1 was just enough to eclipse Obafemi who scored 6.0 for their performances with Jamie Paterson (5.8), Flynn Downes (5.6) and Joel Piroe (5.5) the only other players to top a 5.5 rating.
Piroe of course grabbed his 16th goal of the season for the Swans but it was scant consolation for a side well beaten on the night but not helped by a moment of madness from one of their own.
