Swansea are set to welcome back Cyrus Christie, Nathanael Ogbeta and Hannes Wolf to the squad today for the trip to Blackpool.
Whilst Ryan Manning is starting his first of a four match ban, the three returning players provide Russell Martin with a big boost.
Wolf and Christie look set to start with either Ryan Bennett or Finley Burns deputising in the absence of Manning although Korey Smith was one of few players to come out of the game against Fulham with some credit at right wing back.
Ogbeta the January signing from Shrewsbury is yet to play for the Swans after signing when injured but is likely to have a place amongst the substitutes as he looks to gain match fitness towards the end of the season.
The left back was signed with much promise, offering pace down the flank in a squad that arguably excluding Michael Obafemi severely lacks any.
“Thankfully weโve got Nat coming back, but he hasnโt played at this level before,” Martin said yesterday.
โHe hasnโt trained a huge amount, heโs been back for a week.
“Thereโll be an opportunity for him at some point for sure.
โThis weekend is probably a bit too early for him but heโs back in the squad.โ
Flynn Downes was taken off on Tuesday but is available again for today’s game and is likely to start alongside Matt Grimes.
*It was a sore one because of where it was,” Martin said.
โHe could have played on but he was limping at half-time so we made the call.”
