Peterborough manager Grant McCann is under no illusions in his preparation for tonight’s game against Swansea City.
The new Posh boss has already seen his previous charges Hull City hold Russell Martin’s Swansea to a 0-0 draw earlier this term but he knows they will be chasing possession.
McCann’s team are winless in 14 but as all Swans fans know, we are the perfect opponents for those in need of a win although Martin is in desperate need of his own to bounce back after two miserable defeats.
โIโve come up against Russellโs teams at MK and Swansea before and they have a unique style of play,โ McCann said.
โThey are very much possession-based and they can be very hard to play against as they rotate players all the time.
“Itโs not unusual for their centre-half to turn up at centre forward!
“We will have to be disciplined in terms of shape and structure. We will have to concentrate and our communication must be good from number one to number 11. But we also have to make sure we carry a threat.
โIโve been been pleased with three of my five games in charge, but we were nowhere near where we need to be in the other two.”
Peterborough are bottom and seven points from safety with ten to go but have held Stoke and Bournemouth in the last two.
