Ben Cabango and Ryan Manning both started for their respective countries last night in a draw for Wales and a last gasp win for Republic of Ireland.
Cabango partnered Chris Mepham in the heart of the Welsh defence as they drew 1-1 with the Czech Republic at the Cardiff City Stadium and looked competent.
The match saw Rubin Colwill score his first Welsh goal after West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek opened the scoring two minutes earlier in the first half.
Manning played as a left wing back for Ireland for the full match and saw his team snatch a winner in the seventh minute of injury time to beat Lithuania at home.
His team had four goals disallowed for offside in a game they dominated and looked to be frustrated but Troy Parrott settled it with that late goal.
Both players will return now although only Cabango will be available to start in the South Wales derby this weekend with Manning sitting out the final of his four games suspension for that red card against Fulham.
