Former Cardiff City players Jay Bothroyd and Joe Ledley have taken to Twitter to share their reactions to the derby day demolition by the Swans yesterday.
One time England cap Bothroyd enjoyed a regular rivalry with the Swans over the years and admitted prior to yesterday’s derby game that they would “stick their fingers up to them” and goad the fans when arriving at the Swansea.com Stadium.
Ledley on the other hand has always been a staunch Bluebirds fan and yesterday’s result will have hurt a little bit more than any of the games in which he played back in his day.
Russell Martin’s men completed the most comprehensive of victories yesterday thanks to two goals from Michael Obafemi and one each from Hannes Wolf and Ben Cabango, following the 3-0 demolition at home earlier in the season.

I feel embarrassed. ๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ
Itโs okay to loose games but not like that especially Derby games!!
Honestly Iโm lost for words ๐ก
Knowing the staff at Cardiff a lot of these players wonโt be there next year they donโt have the right makeup to play for this club.— Jay bothroyd (@jaybothroyd) April 2, 2022

Don’t get too upset both, we always knew there really was only one top team in Wales.
