Watford and Brighton first linked with Obafemi move

You can tell when the football season is coming to an end because it is when the ‘exclusives’ kick off and players are linked with moves, Michael Obafemi being the latest of the Swans players to be linked with a summer move away.

Football League World report that Watford and Brighton are both ‘monitoring the situation’ regards the Swans striker who has had an explosive second half to the season and topped the ten goal barrier thanks to a great run of form.

That kind of form always is likely to make sides sit up and take notice and always likely to attract the rumours of transfer interest and it has started with the Swans not yet having finished their season which could make for a long summer ahead.

With more than four months until the closure of the window you can expect this realistically to be the first of many rumours concerning Obafemi – and other team mates – and whilst FLW are claiming the ‘exclusive’ on this it doesn’t feel as if we have too much to worry about just at this point in time.

The report goes onto suggest that “Brighton are one of those that are interested in the youngster, with Graham Potter seeking some competition for Neal Maupay and Danny Welbeck next season.

In the case, of course, of Watford they are likely to be joining us in the Championship next season and they are also reported to be monitoring the striker.
