Preston North End are reported to be closing in on the signing of free agent Cyrus Christie this summer.
Christie spent a successful six months on loan at Swansea from Fulham and has since become a free agent but whilst Russell Martin wants him to return, it is suggested that the club and player are far apart in terms of salary.
He has been linked with moves abroad and that’s where it looked like he could be heading but Ryan Lowe’s team seem to have gained the advantage according to the Sun’s Alan Nixon.
A few weeks ago Christie spoke of his hopes to still return to Swansea but admitted that the club doesn’t “have much of a budge.”
It would be a blow to Swans boss Martin who is known to be in the market for further defensive additions along with a midfielder and attacker.
