Olivier Ntcham is interesting a number of French clubs after failing to nail down a first team spot at Swansea.
The midfielder joined to much fanfare on a free transfer from Celtic last summer but has often flattered to deceive with his first season at the club blighted by fitness issues.
You could say that Russell Martin hasn’t quite established where he believes he is best suited with Ntcham sometimes playing on the left side and rarely in attacking midfield – supposedly his best role – when chasing games.
He would undoubtedly be on a reasonable wage at the club and with the likes of AJ Ajaccio and Guingamp interested in his signature it wouldn’t be unreasonable to see him move back to his native France.
Daily Mail reporter David Kent suggests the club are only interested in a loan deal rather than cashing in on Ntcham who is still only 26 years of age and has two years remaining on his contract.
One to watch.
