Swansea City are set to complete a fifth signing of the summer transfer window with the loan capture of Wolves midfielder Luke Cundle who will follow Joe Allen, Harry Darling, Nathan Wood and Matt Sorinola into SA1 this summer.

Cundle made his full Premier League debut against Spurs last season and has made four first-team appearances in total.

The youngster’s contract at Molineux runs until the end of the 2025-2026 campaign and is said to be natural at both central and defensive midfield roles and has also operated as a number 10.

Speaking about the highly rated midfielder last season Wolves technical director Scott Sellars said “Luke’s mentality is very strong. He loves playing football and has a massive enthusiasm for it. It doesn’t matter if he’s playing for the first team or the under-23s, he treats every game the same.”

It has long since been speculated that Cundle would leave Molineux this summer and with the Swans seemingly having won this race in a deal that could be announced before our next fixture – away to Stoke on Wednesday.

Cundle is not expected to feature on Wednesday even if the move has been completed but he could be in line for a debut against QPR next Saturday.
