Swansea City have sealed the season long loan deal for Luke Cundle from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The signing will increase competition in a central midfield department that has only seen Matt Grimes, Joe Allen and Jay Fulton get a look in.
Olivier Ntcham has been preferred on the left so Cundle will go straight into providing competition for places and is generally viewed as a more attacking player in the number ten mould.
Perhaps it could be a replacement for Joel Piroe? We won’t know until deadline day.
Cundle has made just the one full start for Wolverhampton against Tottenham in a 2-0 win along with five other substitute appearances and is available for Stoke on Wednesday.
The 20 year old will wear the number 18 shirt and was delighted to put pen to paper: “I am really excited to get down to work on Tuesday. I just want to play football.
โOne of the big things for me (when deciding where to join) was the facilities. The moment you walk through the door here you can see the facilities are as good as those at any Premier League club.
โThat in itself would have been enough of a reason, but when I spoke to the head coach, I felt he was someone who would put his belief in me.
“I feel like I can contribute. I can play a number of roles, I can play box-to-box, I can create and score goals.
โI can also receive the ball from the back and start the build-up.โ
