In his early career and from 2001, Bobby Madley refereed in the Wakefield and District League. His first step into the professional game came in 2010 when he joined the National Group of referees and began officiating in the Football League.
Three years later, Bobby took charge of his first Premier League fixture – Southampton and West Bromwich Albion – before being chosen as the man in the middle for the FA Youth Cup Final between Manchester City and Chelsea in 2015. In 2021 he was appointed to a showpiece event at Wembley – the League Two Play-Off Final between Newport County and Morecambe.
Bobby will operate as a Select Group 2 from the 2022/23 campaign, largely taking charge of Championship matches in the EFL.
