It is certainly a belief in South East Wales that the first derby clash of the season turned on the back of a 7th minute red card for Callum Robinson who was dismissed after a moment of madness involving Swans defender Ben Cabango.
Cardiff fans claimed to that point that they were dominating the fixture – all six and a bit minutes of it – before Robinson was shown a straight red by Darren Bond after he shoved the ball in the face of Cabango.
There was only going ot be one outcome after it was seen that the officials had spotted the incident and Robinson took an early bath in a game which his team mates eventually succumbed to a two goal defeat on an afternoon where it could have been much more.
Cardiff manager Mark Hudson had no complaints about the decision to send the player off and he told Wales Online after the game “Itโs about having controlled aggression in moments during a game.
โItโs something to learn from and I can only focus on the players who were on from seven onwards. They stuck in, fought for the club, fought for the badge, and fought for each other which is all you can ask.
โThatโs a decision thatโs been made but Iโd like to focus on the 10 that were on the pitch from seven minutes onwards. They really had to fight hard considering they also had to do it on Wednesday night.
โThereโs decisions in moments in games, and thatโs a decision thatโs been made. Again I can only praise highly the 10 that were on the field.
โThey worked so hard for each other and showed what it meant. We started really well, and the set-up was right, but it became difficult after seven minutes.โ
โHeโs had a few words with the players, of course. Heโs an experienced person, an experienced player and I can say that since heโs come in heโs been brilliant for the football club.โ
They fought for the badge wow they hardly saw the ball, says a lot when our captain had more touches of the ball than their whole team dream on mush your only kidding yourself and your coin throwing fans
