Swansea City will be in the West of Scotland at the early part of December as they prepare for a return to Championship football with a closed door friendly against Rangers on December 3.

The former Scottish Champions, who sacked manager Giovanni Van Bronckhost on Monday will host Russell Martin’s side at their training complex at Auchenhowie.

The Swans host Norwich at the Swansea.com stadium a week later as the Championship prepares for a return after a four week break due to the World Cup.

The match will be played one week before the public friendly between Rangers and Bayer Leverkusen on December 10.

Swansea manager Russell Martin spent some time on loan at Ibrox back in 2018.

Rangers are expected to have a new manager in place by the time the game with the Swans takes place with former Gers coach Michael Beale, now boss at QPR, the odds-on favourite.

Sean Dyche and former Bayer Leverkusen boss Gerard Seoane have also been listed among the favourites.

Rangers return to league action themselves on December 15th.
