Brandon Cooper is the first exit from the Swansea.com Stadium this January with the club confirming that the defender has joined Forest Green Rovers on loan for the rest of the season.

Yet to feature for the Swans this term the 22-year old defender makes the short trip just the other side of the Severn to join up with a Forest Green side battling to stay in League One.

It is the fourth loan spell of Cooperโ€™s career, with the Wales Under-21 international having previously had spells with Yeovil Town, Newport County and Swindon Town.

He made eight appearances for the Swans last season.

Upon joining FGR, Cooper told their official site: โ€œIt feels good to sign for Forest Green. Iโ€™m really excited and I canโ€™t wait to get going.

โ€œIโ€™ve played here before and I know quite a bit about the Club. I know the style of football they play is good.

โ€œHopefully I can help the team turn the good style into some good results.โ€

Head of Performance & Recruitment, Stevie Grieve, added: โ€œWeโ€™re delighted to welcome Brandon to the Club.

โ€œHis determination, leadership and defensive qualities will help the team in our push to win more matches.โ€
