It is difficult to know just how much the Swans are interested in Leeds United forward Joe Gelhardt but, if recent reports are to be believed, the player is staying in the North West with only Wigan formally moving to secure his services.
It has been suggested that the Swans, along with Blackburn, Stoke, Coventry and the Latics were all interested should the decision be to let him leave Elland Road on loan but Alan Nixon writes โAll clubs taking an interest have to start making proper offers to Leeds โฆ only Wigan have done that so far โฆโ
The words do suggest that there is anticipation that moves may come from elsewhere one of which I guess could be the Swans although there has been more than one report that suggest that player and club would prefer him to stay in the North.
Leeds will be keen to see the 20-year-old start most games during his time out on loan considering heโs already playing a part in and around the first team squad and that could certainly rule out Swansea who would surely see Piroe and Cullen ahead of him in the pecking order.
Keep watching this one through to the end but cannot see it being a Swansea City move at the end of the day.
