Luton Town manager Rob Edwards admitted yesterday that there has been interest in forward Harry Cornick a player that both the Swans and Bristol City have been linked with.
Speaking after Cornick played 60 minutes in the Hatters 2-2 FA Cup draw with Grimsby, Edwards confirmed the interest although did not mention any of the clubs who were showing that interest.
Whilst not using as many words he also opened the door for a potential move for Cornick when he talked about the financial challenges at the club but felt that their position at the end of the window would be a good one.
โThere is interest there, but what I will say on it is Corns is someone I admire, I love working with him,” he told Luton Today.
“Heโs a good footballer, weโre going to have interest in some of our players. What I have to stress now is that I believe we will be in a really good position come the end of this window.
โI donโt know exactly what will happen, but the clubโs ambitious, Iโm ambitious. The big message I need to stress though is what we donโt want is the club to be where they have been in their recent past. When I came to this football club I knew we were going to live within some financial constraints because thatโs what has got the club the success over the last 12 years.โ
The Swans have not yet confirmed their interest in Cornick.
