Swansea City say thank you to the fans

Swansea City signed off the 2022/23 league season yesterday with an entertaining 3-2 win over West Brom at the Swansea.com stadiumย  – a result that saw them end the season with a nine game unbeaten run.

Seven wins and two draws in that run ensures that the summer break is entered into with a wave of positivity that did not look possible nine games out and the Swans looking nervously over their shoulders.

That was off the back of a run of just three wins in more than twenty games but that now seems a distant memory and a sell out crowd at the Swansea.com stadium was testament to the support that Russell Martin and his side have received all season.

There may have been many splits of opinions on all forms of social media around the form in the middle period of the season but there are very few who can argue with that run of form that has seen us secure a top half finish together with being the fourth highest scorers in the league.

Joel Piroe’s stoppage time winner took his tally past twenty in the league for the second season running and he will undoubtedly be subject to constant rumours during the course of the summer.

That though was not one for yesterday as the players, staff and their families took to the pitch at the end of the game for a lap of appreciation to thank the fans for their support.

So for now just enjoy the six images that we think we should take into the summer as a memory.
