Charlie Patino is expected to have his loan deal to Swansea City confirmed today in time to be a part of the matchday squad travelling to West Bromwich Albion.
The Arsenal midfielder has completed his medical and the paperwork is “with the lawyers” according to Swans boss Michael Duff.
The left footed midfielder joins after a full season on loan at Blackpool last term where he played 34 times in the Championship, scoring twice and delivering four assists. He was ironically sent off once against Swansea at the Swansea.com Stadium.
The relationship he will have built with Jerry Yates can only be a positive too and the Watford born midfielder joins with high hopes from his parent club that he can break into the first team next season.
The Swans are also closing in on Chelsea defender Bashir Humphreys although it seems unlikely that the deal will be completed prior to this weekend’s fixture.
It won’t complete the club’s transfer movement either with a left back still urgently required before deadline day and eyes still on Matt Grimes and Joel Piroe as Southampton circle, for the former at least.
