The Evening Standard is reporting that Spurs have turned down an approach from the Swans to speak to Chris Davies about the managerial vacancy at the Swansea.com Stadium.
The report via the Standard stated that the Premier League club had denied the chance for the Swans to speak to Davies who have made the coach their number one target at the moment to replace Michael Duff who was sacked on Monday.
As reported earlier in the day, Davies was a candidate for the Swans back in the summer and after parting company with Duff, after less than six months in charge, on Monday the club had looked to move quickly to suggest Davies should be the replacement.
But, if the report is correct, they may need to look elsewhere for that replacement although it should also be remembered that being knocked back at this early stage does not completely rule someone out of the running.
We await further developments.
