The Daily Record is reporting that Aberdeen have turned down a bid worth up to ยฃ500k for midfielder Connor Barron who the Swans had targeted to strengthen their midfield.
There is still time to get this deal over the line but it appears that to do so the Swans will have to revise their valuation of a player who has six months to run on his contract.
The publication reports “The English Championship outfit wanted to land the Scotland under-21 midfielder but the proposal has been knocked back by the Dons. Managerless Aberdeen made it clear they didnโt want to sell.
“The offer included a number of future add-ons and incentives. Barron is now going into the last five months of his contract. Aberdeen have offered a new deal but have been unable to agree an extension. The player is one of the lowest paid players in the first-team squad and Aberdeen could now lose him for training compensation come the summer.”
Whether the Swans push to get this over the line this evening we will wait and see.
