Swansea City have confirmed a first deadline day signing with the loan capture of Arsenal winger Charles Sagoe Jr who will wear the number 24 shirt for the remainder of this season.

Previously on the books at Fulham, he joined Arsenal in 2015 and appeared in the EFL Trophy for their under-21 side in recent seasons.

He was also an unused substitute in their Europa League game at Sporting Lisbon in March of last year.

โ€œIโ€™m really excited to get going. Iโ€™m glad the deal has got over the line and I canโ€™t wait to get out on the pitch,โ€ said Sagoe Jr.

โ€œI spoke to the manager and he told me that the philosophy is very possession-based, and the wingers are integral to how Swansea play.

โ€œHe wants them to be direct and get lots of crosses into the box, create chances for the team. Thatโ€™s my game really, creating chances and getting opportunities to score.

โ€œAs a winger, I like to get on the ball a lot and help the team as much as I can.”
