The key EFL dates for the coming 24/25 football season have been confirmed with the first one being that fans will be able to plan their nine months ahead from 26th June when the fixtures are released at 9am that day.

The Championship season may still be ongoing with the start of the play-offs today but for many fans in the second tier thoughts have already started to focus on next season and certainly in the case of the Swans we would hope that it results in a better campaign than this one alone.

The season itself will start on the weekend of 10/11 August and it has already been confirmed that all the opening weekend fixtures will be broadcast by Sky Sports+ as part of the new broadcasting deal.ย  ย The opening weekend will mean that there is no TV blackout in place whilst all midweek games during the season will also be shown via Sky Sports+.

Sky Sports managing director Jonathan Licht said: “For the first time, we will broadcast every game live from across the EFL on the opening weekend.

“It’s going to be a huge moment for football fans up and down the country and is a fitting way to kick off our ground-breaking new partnership with the EFL.”

Fixtures for the new season will be available from 9am on Wednesday June 26th with the season planned to end on Saturday 3rd May.
