Midfielder open to Swans move as he talks about “big club”

The Swans have been handed a potential transfer boost with the reports that midfield target Noel Milleskog is open to the move to SA1 and sees the Swans as a “big club”.

It was just under two weeks ago that the name of Milleskog was first linked with a move to the Swans with reports at the time suggesting that we may have already lodged a bid to try and bring him to the Swansea.com Stadium.

Football Skanalen reports that Milleskog has been earning himself plenty of admirers after leaving Djurgรฅrdens IF in January for first-team football at Sirius.ย  With stats that show six goals and four assists in seventeen appearances that in itself is not a surprise and it has been suggested that there could be plenty of other clubs interested alongside the Swans.

Dutch side Go Ahead Eagles and KV Kortrijk from Belgium are two already linked and Luke Williams himself has admitted his own admiration for the player.

However it is the words of the player that may be of interest to Swans fans now with the player sayingย โ€œA lot has been written and rumoured, and I only take it as positive,

โ€œI see it as a carrot to continue and take it as a sign that it has been a good season. There is nothing that affects me negatively, that I fly away or think about something else. My thoughts are one hundred percent in Uppsala and on Sirius. I take it as motivation.โ€

โ€œItโ€™s great fun,โ€ he added when asked about Swansea and Williamsโ€™ comments.ย ย โ€œThen there seems to be something in it, if it has now come out so officially. Itโ€™s a big club with a lot of history, so I have to try to use that as a driving force going forward. I take that as a motivation.

โ€œI feel great in Uppsala and in Sirius, so it is important to have a good deal for all three parties. It is important for me when I take the next step, that it should benefit me and Sirius. I want to give back for the trust and the chance that I have been given here.โ€

With the Swans keen to get this deal over the line and the player open to a move surely this is one that will progress in the coming weeks – watch this space?!

This mind game does my swede in. We should be questioning him on whether heโ€™s good enough for us, make him feel that heโ€™s going to lose out by not joining us. For every one of us there will be ten of him.

that would be the case if we was waiting for a decision on him, but it sounds to me like he's doing exactly like you say, begging us to sign him

The way his comments look as if there is talks going on and weโ€™re just waiting on agreeing a fee, he seems ready to go.

He is very much a playmaker attacking midfield sort of player. The type we are desperate for who can link the defensive half of the side to the attacking half

Looks a clever player and a playmaker . . Good feet and would be a great addition to our Midfield as he is always looking to get forward quickly.

From his clips he looks dynamic and not short on skill. Looks very intelligent and could easily play across the attacking midfield positions, if he plays up top then he comes across as a player who wants to run the channels and get in behind.

Personally think we would be set with the 4 main guys and 2 youngsters backing up, don't see another winger as a priority if we got a deal for this lad done on further thought.
A striker is a priority and I would like to see us then push for a no 10, Scott Twine is an ideal example.....a quality player who has lost his way and needs an arm around him.

Any player coming in who further minimises the likelihood of a Grimes and Fulton partnership being on the pitch at any given time is absolutely fine by me. I'd even sign my nan to play midfield if it meant those two got split up. And she's been dead 19 years
