The Swans were handed a Carabao Cup second round tie at home to Wycombe when the draw was made live on Sky Sports this evening following their coverage of Middlesbrough’s comprehensive 3-0 win at Elland Road to knock out Leeds.
Progress to the second round was secured on Tuesday evening when we beat Gillingham 3-1 at the Swansea.com Stadium.
The Swans were, of course, winners of the competition back in 2013 when wins over Liverpool and Chelsea en route to the final saw us secure a first major trophy with the biggest final win in the competition’s history – a 5-0 win over Bradford City.
Ties in the second round will be played week commencing 26th August.
