The Swans will this evening find out who they will face in the third round of the FA Cup when the draw is made at around 7pm on BBC 2 and BBC iPlayer.

The third round draw was traditionally one of the most eagerly looked at dates in the calendar but in recent seasons the thoughts of the fans have changed slightly with many believing that the competition has been devalued through a series of events that have weighted it towards the “bigger” teams in the competition, taking away some of the romanticism that has been associated with the competition in the past.

That said many fans will be watching with interest this evening the draw and making their plans for the weekend of 10-13 January when the ties will take place – all thirty two ties taking place in a four day period.

Only two non-league sides have made the third round of the competition this season – Dagenham and Redbridge and Tamworth joining sixty-two clubs from the top four divisions for the draw that will take place at Old Trafford, home of last year’s winners Manchester United.

Been watching the Swans since the very late 1970s and running the Planet Swans website (in all its current and previous guises since the summer of 2001 As it stood JackArmy.net was right at the forefront of some of the activity against Tony Petty back in 2001, breaking many of the stories of the day as fans stood against the actions where the local media failed. Was involved with the Swans Supporters Trust from 2005, for the large part as Chairman before standing down in the summer of 2020.

It's been boring hearing his name from the obsessed bunch recently!
Now it's going to go into overdrive over Xmas 🙈

Imagine a defeat to us is the nail in his managerial coffin with Soton 😂
