It appears that the Swans are set to sign midfielder Melker Widell from Danish club AAB for a fee of around €3m but there is a significant caveat to the deal.

The Swedish playmaker was first linked with the club yesterday before a bid was confirmed later in the afternoon for the highly rated 22 year old.

And it is now being reported that Swansea City have indeed won the race for his signature but in order to get the deal over the line it will mean the player will return to AAB on loan for the rest of the season.

The length of the season in Denmark (including play-offs) means that Widell will arrive for pre season training ready for the start of the 25/26 campaign, whichever division that might be for us.

So whilst it isn’t an immediate help for the Swans with Matt Grimes all but confirmed as a Coventry City player and additions in desperate need, it is something to look forward to come the summer.

So what that means is that Andy Coleman will need to secure deals to get the club over the line for the remainder of the season and a central midfielder will be as high a priority as any.

With just a few days left of the window, the latest link is to former Liverpool man Bobby Clark on a loan deal from RB Salzburg.

Blimey. Cometh the hour, cometh Fulton! Surely we don’t go in to the second half of the season with Franco, Fulton and Joey?? Please tell me we don’t (and no, Key and Tymon don’t bloody count!!). 🤣

If true it's a disaster. The lad won't fancy dropping down to League One when he plays his first game. Plus, what happens if he gets injured while back on loan?

Right, I’ve Googled and looked at Football Manager ratings, which is essentially all the moneyball twonks do.

Massimo Luongo- currently at Ipswich, has lots of experience of this league with QPR and last season with Ipswich. Getting on a bit but more mobile than Joey, can play in the two man DCM, good character. Ipswich loaded, so a loan with them paying most of his wages.

Go and get him Coleman mun. He might be crap, but that took 5 mins - how hard can it be?

Could be a blessing in disguise if Williams is gone by then and he avoids this toxic atmosphere?

He looks good (on YouTube lol). I’m happy to wait if he is good

Do you think they'd notice if we sent Fulton over instead?
