Swansea City are reportedly close to signing Manchester City midfielder Jacob Wright on a permanent deal.
The highly rated England youth international was being linked with a loan move to Peterborough back in the summer but stayed at the Etihad Stadium instead and now appears to be on the way out.
A 19 year old defensive midfielder, he made his debut for City as a substitute in the FA Cup last season against Huddersfield Town.
With a gaping hold in midfield after the exit of Matt Grimes both chairman Andy Coleman and Luke Williams have insisted in tomorrow’s programme notes that signings are priority and there is no bigger than the middle of the park.
As this is being reported by the very reliable Fabrizio Romano you would think there’s at least a degree of truth to this but for the figure suggested when P&S is an issue? It does raise a few questions and perhaps needs to be taken with a pinch of salt, for now.
The fee suggested is a package of £4m.
