well that was simply not good enough.the system was wrong, the engine room was awful and the left hand side was inept. half of the problem was the system.thomas was either a target man in a 4-5-1 or a c forward in a 4-3-3 i certainly was not sure and i dotn think the players were clear about it either. as a target man, been as every pass forward was high in the air, i think thommo did his best. he won more headers than nugent did, but only for no one to pick up any flick ons from him. he is not a target man flynn!!!and then he goes and takes him off!!thomas was playing to the system that flynn set him and he did his best up to then.replacing him was not an option!certainly not with a striker who hasnt played more than 10 games yet(and of course, is not a target man either!!). not only does he do that but he keeps the same system which was shite for a whole game but he also plays a smaller, less effective striker pritchard in the same(wrong) position as thomas. the engine was terrible-martinez overhit or gave away everything and robinson was too deep, and not commited enough by far. coates looks crap every game he starts and roberts did not get the ball thanks to the lacklustre route one method. only tate, iriekpen and thoams came out form this with any credit oh and murphy, he made soem decent saves to be fair 3 decent players wont win us a sunday league game.sort it out flynn or be prepared for the boot. i frankly can notb bothered to write any other faults of our game tonight. you lot can scutinize them now…….. atb lloyd g |

Thomas does’nt deserve any credit he was crap. Won no headers, ran wer ethe ball was’nt and his poor control let him down again and again. Murphy was the only good player for me tonight. 5 great saves in the second half. The rest were average or very poor. |

Thomas come out of it with any credit? Sorry but i disagree, he was simply awful, along with the whole fcking team!! When will we learn that we have to actually play for the points and not expect to get them by just turning up?? Infact i don’t think we did turn up tonight[(!] |

Thomas was abysmal tonight. Ok he was not the only one, but I cant believe some people blindy defend him or think he is a good striker just because a) he is a local boy b) the hat trick against hull c) he used to play for blackburn nugent hasnt done much since early season either, but his performance against doncaster was miles better than thommos tonight. |

Worse than that we were shi e! I am afraid that Mr Flynn has a problem and i think he should be the next person to stand up and be counted. He is obviously unable to change anything during a game, and once he has set his stall out thats it. We lacked any ideas, our set pieces are shocking, and this bouncing the ball bit before a free kick I have worked it out it is a sign to the first defender that he is getting it. How the hell these players cant get the ball over the first man and keep it in the playing area beats me, basic football i call it. We cant take a corner for fecks sake, yet every one of Rochdales corners tonight looked dangerous. Maylett MOM, give us a break, I think he should not be payed this week after missing the simplest one on one you are likely to see at any level, a right sided player running on to a perfect through ball sitting up nicely from 8 yards with the keeper on his jacksy!! Its Ok saying the fans have been fabulous all season, but the days of 4,000 are going to return and they can only blame themselves. I would love to know what we do in training and is Flynn there?? coz it is a waste of time. Professional players should not need motivating if they want to succeed. To sum up we are going nowhere this year and expect a lot of new faces next year if we wish to go anywhere at all. Rant over. |

well after a truly pathetic performance from the rest, i was impressed with murphys display. he must be praised, he alone won us that point tonight. some of the saves he pulled off were outstanding and credit to him for kepping going. its nice to see him settle down once and for all, i hope he gets stronger now and starts to control his area. good display murph |

and she isn’t 5 until April. I’ve been a regular down the Vetch for about 15 yrs now and he is far and away the worst footballer I’ve seen down there (and theres been some rubbish). I don’t pretend to be an expert but over the years I’ve seen much better players than him in the Swansea League. He’s been payed about 6 or 7 hundred quid a week for that sh te. He can’t pass, he can’t cross and he’s a sh thouse in the tackle. Please please please give him a free transfer!!! |

I’ve lost count of the times i have said he’s crap. The only trouble is many posters on this site say its not his fault its because he’s not protected with any quality in front of him. |

I agree the system that Flynn usually plays or even the quality in front of him doesn’t help but his performances week to week are pretty awful. He never contributes anything to the game. In fact I felt quite sorry for him tonight, league football is obviously way above him but he keeps getting played every week!!! |

I won’t slate him too much because we simply have no alternative! I remember when he used to be able to tackle at least, although I admit, I haven’t seen it since before Christmas. Whats the crack with Hylton, when we likely to see him back in the fold, perhaps its competition thats needed. |

The problem is not that he gets caught out, that happens. The problem is, he plays a 30 yard ball forward, that goes nowhere near a Swans player. Aimless is not the word. |
