Lincoln 2 Swansea 1 |
ANANOVA REPORT Substitute Simon Yeo snatched a late goal to keep Lincoln in the promotion race with a 2-1 victory over Swansea. The home side were well on top but found themselves a goal down at half-time after Swansea centre-back Matthew Rees was left unmarked inside the area and gave the visitors the lead from close range. But Lincoln hit back just after the break, Gary Fletcher and Marcus Richardson combining to put Peter Gain through on goal and the midfielder made no mistake to get his side back on terms. Lincoln goalkeeper Alan Marriott made a superb save from Lee Trundle’s close-range effort, while Swansea stopper Roger Freestone was also kept busy. The home side eventually got their winner with Yeo heading home from Ben Sedgemore’s cross to complete the comeback. |
