O’Leary is Swansea’s longest serving player; he can play in midfield or defence and does a good job when called upon. Although he didn’t do very much over the course of the season, he impressed Kenny Jackett at the end of the season and he was one of two players to be offered a contract. Fans views – “Solid defender that can also do a job in centre midfield. What he lacks in natural pace he makes up for with effort and commitment. Prone to the odd clumsy challenge.” “Wears his heart on his sleeve! Is a true jack, who sometimes lets the emotion of the occasion take over him! A solid player, who, against a lot of fan’s views, has time and again got a contract with us! A player who had a good season just gone, even with some of the mistakes early in the campaign.” |
