(all competitions) Career Stats
(all competitions) Leon Britton was signed on loan by Flynn from West Ham reserves back in the 2002/03 season where he did a great job in helping to keep the Swans up. He won numerous awards in that season and then signed a two year deal with the Swans. Last season was a disappointment for Leon, but he is sill a handful. He played the most games for Swansea last season and scored 3 goals, hopefully Leon will find his shooting boots this coming season and has a great season. Fan’s Views – “Is a bit small for the division, and sometimes goes wandering, but on his day, like Maylett, he can unlock any defence he runs at! Was one of the hero’s of the relegation fight of 2002/03. Maybe should be played out wide instead of in the centre!” “Has excellent touches but fades in and out of games. Doesn’t like the physical side of the game, can’t /won’t header the ball and rarely tracks back to help in defence.” “He may be a luxury we can’t afford whilst in Division 3.” |
