SWANS SWOOP FOR TWO MORE |
Kenny Jackett continued his summer rebuilding job today by securing the signatures of Adrian Forbes and Garry Monk. 25 year old winger Forbes joins the Swans after rejecting a new deal at Luton Town. Forbes, a former Norwich City player, scored 14 goals in only 23 starts for the Hatters last season and will join the Swans on a two year contract, subject to a medical which he is expected to take when he returns from holiday in two weeks time. Centre back Monk, also 25, joins the Swans after being released by Premiership Southampton. The 6ft defender spent last season on loan at Barnsley and will pen a three year deal subject to a routine medical. So, with nine weeks to go until the new season starts, Kenny Jackett is wasting no time in identifying (and strengthening) our weaknesses. And with a goalkeeper and striker still top of his wanted list, expect more transfer activity in the coming weeks as Jackett looks to build a team to challenge for promotion. |
