Carling Cup Round 1 Draw

The draw, made this morning, pitted the Swans, as an unseeded club away to the club that had Jackett as assistant manager up until the end of last season and many have given him a great deal of credit for helping them get promoted to the coca cola championship for this coming season.

The tie, which will be played in the week beginning 23 August, is the first meeting between the Swans and QPR since they were destroyed 4-0 in front of the Sky cameras in the FA Cup in 2001. It will be the first meeting at Loftus Road since 1980.
