League Two Friendly Round Up |
Several of the Swans opponents for next season found themselves in action today as the pre-season friendlies started to kick in. Notts County, relegated last season were beaten 2-1 by Derby County in a behind closed doors match. Notts found themselves two goals down after fifteen minutes thanks to a brace from Brazilian Junior and their consolation didn’t arrive until very late on in the game when Matty Williams scored from the penalty spot. It was easier for Leyton Orient though as they defeated the Met Police team by seven goals to one in their game (no details available). Oxford beat their neighbours Oxford City by four goals to one and Shrewsbury warmed up for their season back in the league with a 1-0 win at Radcliffe Borough. Lincoln City were another ones in local derby action as they beat Lincoln United 3-0. Meanwhile former Swan Matthew Bound saw his new team mates at Weymouth beaten 3-0 by League One side Bournemouth this afternoon. |
