Help Keep The White Rock Title |
Swansea fans had the title White Rock Stadium imposed on them last October. It was a split then on the title but many, myself included, have felt it grow on them over the past nine months. And now the council want to take it away – very likely because of political reasons – why should we sit back and let the council use us as a tool to keep themselves happy. White Rock Stadium is a name that has grown to be known, not just in Swansea but outside the city as well. The council were proud enough of it before the changeover of political power at County Hall so why not now. This is a call for fans of both football and rugby clubs (and anyone else that wants to join) to petition the council to keep the name "White Rock Stadium" As with both Middlesborough and Southampton this does not take away any opportunity for a potential sponsor to come on board and the stadium keeps a separate identity as well as that imposed on it by a sponsor. White Rock Stadium is what we want and we should be prepared to fight for it. You can add your name to the online petition by clicking here and adding your details to it. And add those of your friends and family who are not online as well. The council cannot just expect us to lie back and do what they say can they? They are answerable to the people of Swansea and that will include fans of both the Whites and the Swans so make them answer. Once White Rock, Always White Rock…….
