Enter The Prediction League 2004/2005

The league has been running successfully on the Ipswich Rivals site for some years now and they have kindly made the script available to all Rivals sites for the new season. The aim of the game is simple, predict the Swans score and first goalscorer in each game and gain points for correct predictions.

You get three points for an accurate scoreline (eg. 3-1), or one point for a correct outcome (i.e. home win, draw or loss), and two points for predicting the first scorer. If you get the score exactly right, you will also get a bonus of the number of the goals in that match. For example, if you accurately predict 2-0 you will get 3 points for the correct result and a bonus of 2.

You will need to register to take part in the league. You enter a team name, a valid email address (which will be verified) and a password. You will be emailed the details back to you which should be kept safe as you will need them to enter your predictions.

After each game the league table will be updated and you are invited to enter your predictions for the next game(s) We will always have a few games in advance in the league just in case people are heading off on holiday or whatever.

You can change your prediction as many times as you like prior to kick off, the last prediction you enter will be the one that counts for the competition. If you wish to take your participation one step further you can enrol in the prize league (still predicting Swans scores) where ร‚ยฃ5 is added to the prize fund for every entry,

And better still you can set up your own mini leagues and get your friends to join you in it whilst still staying in the main site league and competing in that. What a great chance to shut the work mate up who believes that he/she knows it all? You can prove to them otherwise.

The game really is simple to play and will be great fun over the course of the season and registration couldn’t be easier. Simply click this link and follow the on screen prompts. You will then receive a confirmation e-mail which you need to click a link to activate your team and then away you go.

Hours of fun bought to you by JackArmy.net!
