West Wales Bus Scheme |
Swansea City Supporters Trust has joined with Swansea City Football club and coach operators Richards Bros to provide reliable, low cost coach transportation to six of this season’s remaining Swansea City home games at Vetch Field for all West Wales supporters. The scheme commencedwith the game versus Grimsby Town on Saturday 19th February and is expected to operate for the remaining home games which are: รยท Rochdale – Sat Mar 12 KO 3pm รยท Macclesfield Town – Fri Mar 25 KO 7.45pm รยท Cambridge United – Sat Apr 2 KO 3pm รยท Oxford United – Fri Apr 15 KO 7.45pm ( Very Last Evening game at Vetch) The Shrewsbury game on April 30th is likely to be ALL TICKET and a decision will be made nearer the date as to whether the service will operate for that match. If it does operate it will be open to ticket holders only and subject to advance booking. The route/times and collection points will be as follows ( times are approximate): Depart – MILFORD HAVEN 11.00am Haverfordwest – Bus Station (11.15am) Penblewin Roundabout (Narberth) (11.30am) Whitland – Car Park (11.40) St Clears – Car Park Entrance (11.50am) Carmarthen – Peacocks Store Lammas Street (12 noon) Arrive – SWANSEA. 1.00pm Departure from Swansea for the return journey will be at 5.15pm For evening games the relevant times will be 5.15pm, 5.30, 5.45, 5.55, 6.05, 6.15 and 7.00pm (Swansea). The coach will depart Swansea at 10pm. PLEASE NOTE THAT WITH EFFECT THE ROCHDALE GAME THE COACH WILL HAVE A MAXIMUM OF 29 SEATS AVAILABLE. THIS WILL NOT BE ALTERED UNLESS AN INCREASED DEMAND FOR SEATS COMES ABOUT. The cost will beรยฃ4 per person for a return fare. The service will be available on a first come first served basis and supporters requiring a ticket for the match in question will be able to reserve this via the coach driver. The driver will notify the club of the number of tickets required, in advance of leaving the final collection point at Carmarthen. The ONLY tickets available via this method will be NORTH BANK tickets. Their availability will be GUARANTEED via this service if reserved on the coach. Fans who will have reserved tickets in this manner will have to collect them and pay for them at the (old) club shop between 1.30pm and 2pm (for Saturday games) and between 7.15pm and 7.40pm (for evening games). A designated member of staff will be available between these times to issue tickets. IMPORTANT -Please note that JUVENILE fans are now catered for within this scheme and will be able to pay for juvenile cost tickets at the shop. Season ticket holders will be charged the รยฃ4 bus fare only upon production of a current season ticket. IMPORTANT: Anyone using the service who wishes to stand or sit within any other section of the ground are urged to make their own, direct arrangements with the club in respect of tickets or alternatively pay on the gate if possible. This also applies for any match designated as ALL TICKET or where indications are that a ‘sell out’ situation will arise. NO TICKETS OTHER THAN NORTH BANK ONES WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR RESERVATION ON THE COACH. It should also be noted that the club now plans to offer tickets for all remaining home games for general sale in advance of the match days. This allows fans the opportunity to pre purchase/pre order tickets VIA THE CLUB. This does not affect the availability of tickets via this service, where the club will be setting aside sufficient tickets relating to the bus capacity. The Trust is also urging any fans planning to attend a match using this service to notify us in advance (if possible) in order that we may gauge demand and cater accordingly. Notification can be made via any of the contact points listed below. The scheme is under the control of the Trust’s Associate Director Paul Morris and his Trust Board colleague John Young. They can be contacted via paul.morris@swanstrust.com or john.young@swanstrust.com or alternatively messages can be left with Trust Admin Officer Debbie Rees on 07977 382328 and Paul or John will return the call as soon as possible.
