Kenny Jackett reacted quickly to the news that Kris O’Leary would miss the next month due to injury by returning to his old club QPR for midfielder Marcus Bean on loan.
Bean spent some pretty ineffective time at the Vetch last season and will sign on loan for a month as cover for O’Leary.
”We didn’t see the best of Marcus when he came to us last season, but there’s definitely a player in there,” the Swansea boss said. ”He is very athletic and I think the wide open spaces at our new stadium will suit him. ”That wasn’t the case with the pitch at the Vetch, and I think it’s significant that his best game for us was away at Darlington’s new ground.”
Bean seems likely to be competing with Andy Robinson for the place in midfield along side Roberto Martinez this weekend.
